Standing tall, the harbour master looks out over the Steinhuder Meer, observes the boat traffic and welcomes the incoming boats. He also has eye contact with his colleague, who looks over from the Wilhelmstein and welcomes guests to the island fortress on the jetty.
The sculpture was erected by the Verkehrsverein Steinhuder Meer e.V. in August 2019.
