Steinhuder Museum - Fishermen's and Weavers' Museum / Toy Museum

Since May 2012, two once separate museums have come together under one roof, offering a vivid glimpse into Steinhude’s rich past. The Fischer- und Webermuseum reveals the lives of local fishermen and weavers more than a century ago – the tools, traditions, and quiet rhythms of a lakeside community deeply connected to the Steinhuder Meer. In the same building, the Toy Museum invites visitors into a world of nostalgia and imagination. Gleaming tin toys, delicate dolls and timeless playthings capture the spirit of childhoods long gone, yet somehow still familiar. Each display evokes stories told by generations, making it easy to lose track of time among the carefully curated exhibits.
