Bastion 2 / Hagenburg Canal with Information Kiosk

The picnic area is located on a pier at the mouth of the Hagenburg Canal where it flows into Lake Steinhude. From here, you have a great view of Wilhelmstein Island. The open shelter, equipped with a table and benches, is the perfect spot for a picnic. There are also information kiosks on site that provide interesting facts about the location, Wilhelmstein Island, and the nature park. The information can also be accessed via audio and is partially available in simple language. The area is not accessible by car, as it is located directly on the bike and hiking trail.
