Christ Chapel Mardorf

Nestled in the centre of Mardorf, the Christus Chapel exudes a quiet charm that becomes especially captivating in the stillness of winter. Since 2012 it has served as a “bicycle path church”, offering travellers and pilgrims a welcome pause on their journey. It also lies along a secondary route of the Loccum–Volkenroda Pilgrimage Trail, connecting the spiritual heritage of Lower Saxony with centuries of tradition. In the colder months, visitors often find the serenity of this small sanctuary particularly moving.
